as to prevent misunderstanding by others and/or, we will try to cover
the item under query in our Terms and Conditions.

Period of hire
The vehicle is hired for the period shown on the hire voucher which we
provide you and if returned late, excesses will be charged locally by
the vehicle provider. Providers vary in regard to the maximum period that
a vehicle may be on hire without checking the vehicle in at one of their
offices (for maintenance check for example). Those periods are generally
maximised at 28 or 56 days. It is essential that the car is checked in
accordingly, failing which, insurance may lapse for example. In any event
where the vehicle may be returned later than a few hours in excess of
drop off time, the vehicle provider must be notified otherwise the vehicle
may be reported as stolen and/or you may well be uninsured.
Driving areas
The vehicle may normally be driven across state borders. Vehicles may
be driven into Canada from the USA and vice versa but not into Mexico.
Cars must be returned to the country of hire. Please re-confirm at pick-up
that you wish to “cross states or borders” to ensure that
you may do so and that your insurance extends cover to enable you to do
so. In some cases, the provider may make a charge which is payable locally.
Children
In most states in the USA, it is a legal requirement for children under
three years old to be safely secured in a child seat. Please ensure that
you request such seats in advance. Children aged 3-5 years must be restrained
by a seat belt or other special secure seat.
Special requests
Child seats and other optional items are available on request at most
locations, although no item can be guaranteed to be available at any time.
The charge for these facilities is paid locally at the time of pick-up.
Local charges
The cost and conditions of all incidental items payable locally are subject
to change without prior notice and subject to local laws, rulings and
taxes.

up to cover the estimated charges for taxes, CFC, optional extras not prepaid,
optional personal accident and effects coverage etc. A recognised credit card
(such as American Express, Diners Club, Visa, Access, Master Card, and Euro Card)
will normally be required to cover. Please note: The credit card holder must
